- Objectives
The American Club of Madrid is the focal point for Americans, Spaniards and
third-country nationals who are interested in developing and maintaining business, professional and social
relationships within the international community. The Club is a non-political and non-profit organization.
- Operations
The affairs of the Club are managed by the Board of Directors, which is elected annually by the members
and meets monthly to assure that the various sub-committes, such as Activities, New Membership, etc. are run effectively.
The American Club of Madrid was the founding club of the Federation of International American Clubs, and is an active member.
There are now thirty clubs in the Federation representing twenty countries.

- Monthly Luncheons
A member of the Club may participate in all our activities
and therefore become acquainted with the international business and professional community
in Madrid. Each month, with the exception of August, the Club sponsors a luncheon with an
important and interesting guest speaker. Top personalities in politics, business, the
diplomatic corps, education, television and sports have spoken at past luncheons.
- Happy Hours, Special events, and Dialogs
The monthly happy hours provide the opportunity for our
members to see each other in a relaxed setting. We also organize special events throughtout the year, including a July 4th Celebration, a Halloween Party, Thanksgiving, our famous Christmas Social,
and round-table discussions on topics of special interest.
- Directory and Guidepost
The American Club Membership Directory is updated annually
and is mailed to each member. This Directory is the most comprehensive
listing available of Americans and prominent Spanish and third-country
nationals. Each member also receives a free subscription to Guidepost, the
quarterly English-language magazine.
