Spring Casa de Campo Excursion

All ages/ability levels welcome.

We will be doing an easy walk in the park in Casa de Campo!  It will be a 6.5 km/4 mile loop with about 50 m/150 ft of elevation gain/loss.  We'll start at Lago metro station, pass by the Mirador de la Sarten, take a short break for a snack, and then head back past the Pinar de las Siete Hermanas to complete the loop.  We anticipate finishing by about 1:30-2pm, back at Lago metro. This walk is suitable for nearly all ability levels and kids 5 and up. We will be mostly on flat dirt trails, with some small inclines up and down. Dogs are welcome!

This event is free and open to everyone! We keep the group to an enjoyable size of to 20 people, and as our hikes always fill up quickly, if you register, please be conscientious about attending, or canceling if your plans change so someone else may join. Thank you!

How we'll get there: 

• We will meet at the entrance to the Lago metro station in Casa de Campo at 11 am on Sunday, March 22. 
• If you'll be meeting us by car, please arrive early to find parking. The lots inside Casa de Campo fill quickly! 
• In case of rain, we will likely cancel the walk. We will be in touch with registrants regarding the weather if needed.

What to bring:

• Water
• Piece of fruit or other small snack, if you'd like. We'll take a short break at some picnic tables in the middle of the walk.
• Comfortable clothes, sneakers/trail shoes or hiking boots
• Sunscreen and sunglasses
• Insurance is not included. It's possible to arrange individually or we are happy to direct you to a provider of "seguro de aventuras" for the day.

We kindly request that one adult accompany up to 2 kids. Adults and kids may need to be registered separately (so the kids don't get charged). Please do register the kids so we know how many are coming! E-mail us with any issues... Also, bring your Easter egg basket!

We'll have the eggs for finding, prizes, easter candy, morning pastry + ☕☕:)
